Alides Polska acquires development plot in Sopot

Sopot, Poland – 2025.10.28 – Alides Polska, a subsidiary of the renowned Belgian international real estate development and investment company Alides, specializing in office and residential properties, announces the acquisition of a development plot at Rzemieślnicza Street 13 in Sopot.

A well-connected location within the Tricity area

The acquired plot covers a total area of 2.304 m² and is situated in Sopot, the renowned spa and resort town known for its coastal charm, greenery and attractive residential neighborhoods. Positioned between Gdańsk and Gdynia, near Sopot Wyścigi station, the property benefits from its location within the Tricity Metropolitan Area, offering access to the region’s dynamic cultural and economic environment.

The site is well connected, located just 650 meters from the Sopot railway station and convenient access to Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport. Future residents will benefit from seamless links to Gdańsk and Gdynia, as well as close proximity to the seaside area, as well as amenities and attractions such as the Tricity Landscape Park, Sopot Pier, ERGO Arena and a range of local shops and services.

"We are excited to expand our Polish’ activities to Sopot, a city with a unique combination of natural beauty, historical significance and strong residential demand," says Luiza Grunwald, Project Director at Alides Polska. "The project’s location, accessibility and surroundings align well with our strategic focus on high-quality, sustainable developments.”

Strengthening Alides’ presence in the Tricity area

This acquisition further strengthens Alides Polska’s position in Poland, building on previous strategic investments, including investments in Warsaw and the Tricity area such as the Waterside office in Gdansk.

Alides’ core strategy focuses on acquiring well-located sites with development potential in key urban markets. The Sopot plot will be developed into two residential buildings with four to seven above-ground floors and one underground level, comprising a total of 77 units. The development will include an underground garage with 42 parking spaces, landscaped internal courtyards and a rooftop leisure zone.

"This acquisition marks yet another step in Alides’ growth strategy in Poland," says Rikkert Leeman, CEO of Alides. "Sopot’s premium real estate and limited supply of new developments presents an excellent opportunity for sustainable growth and long-term value creation."
